I redesigned our Born 2 Roar Tiger Tee in purple and told Mom it needed MORE RHINESTONES. Now it is soooo sparkly. Under stadium lights, the rhinestones shine almost like diamonds, and I LOVE it.
Everyone knows I’m a TIGER fan, so of course purple had to happen. But the tiger means more to me than just a school mascot or hometown team.
A tiger reminds me to be strong, courageous, fierce, and resilient. In a world that sometimes tells tween girls we need to be skinnier, prettier, or different, I want this tiger to be a reminder that God made me exactly the way He wanted me to be. I am strong enough to resist the messages that tear me down and confident enough to be proud of who He created me to be.
Sometimes I need that reminder: I can do hard things.
There are days when I am working hard at cheer or softball and I start to get down on myself or feel like I am not good enough. Those are the moments when I have to erase the negative thoughts and remind myself: practice, work hard, get better, and HAVE FUN.
I can do hard things. And when I keep going, the reward is seeing myself improve, grow, and become stronger than I was before.
